ST. Cecilia
Guitar Trio:
 Massimo Delle Cese
 Gianluca Persichetti
 Massimo Aureli

In view of trancribing, "re-writing" and proposing some unusual music for this ensamble, three musicians, all from St.Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome, joined forming the St. Cecilia Guitar Trio.

Almost all authors in the SCGT repertoire, whose works have been transcribed, have already entered the guitar world (Bach, Vivaldi, Falla, Granados, Piazzolla...). Nevertheless S.Cecilia Guitar Trio has approached names such as Gershwin, Bartok, D'vorak, Ravel, Debussy, Rossini etc...) never betraying however the spirit and the original scores' musical intentions, seeking for effects and instrumental peculiarities that makes these works looking deliberately composed for three guitars. Further that the Trio sets itself the target of increasing original three-guitars repertoire, whetherby seeking for it, or commissioning new works.

The great skill of Massimo Aureli, who conceives and puts all Trio's transcriptions into practice, joins the versatility of Gianluca Persichetti, graduated in Instrumental Percussions too and involved in several etnic-music and jazz experiences, as well as Massimo Delle Cese who is playing as soloist too and in chamber music ensambles (guitar & mandolin duo and string quartet w/ guitar).

All three members of the SCGT come from St.Cecilia Conservatory in Rome (where from thr trio name) and followed masterclass courses with Mario Gangi, Alirio Diaz and Manuel Barrueco.

Since they joined together, they developed their concert activity in Italy and abroad (concert tours in Checz Republic, Spain, Greece, England, East Europe, Turkey, Far East...), altough they already have a set solo concert carrier.

They will be performing in the Y2000 Tychy and Wroclaw Int. Guitar Festivals(Polland), Santo Tirso Int. Guitar Festival (Portugal) and at The Festival de la Guitarra in Curnavaca (Mexico).

Trio's GB recital at 1997 Wirral International Guitar Festival, winning interest and enthusiasm by their high performance, has been appreciated by the Festival Director as a "...superb concert to a capacity audience...a true star potential...", he commented on it to the press.

Their CD recording "Rhapsody" (previously named "Mutations") received enthusiastic reviews by the main international guitar magazines, further a particular appreciation by Mr. John Duarte.

SCGT plays with Dogal Strings.

Massimo Delle Cese is professor of classical guitar at "A. Casella" Conservatory in L'Aquila.
